The digital health IPO market has been on a tear this year, and Q3 VC funding numbers continue to be strong. The maturing of digital health startups coincides with the industry’s shift towards virtual care models.
Telehealth is steadily penetrating deeper into healthcare. The case study of Intermountain, one of the pioneers in telemedicine, is a blueprint for other organizations looking to scale their telehealth initiatives. In case you missed it, listen to my podcast interview with Marc Probst, former CIO of Intermountain Health where he discusses their telemedicine journey. COVID-19 has also raised interest in using digital technologies for providing acute care in home settings, says a senior executive from Kaiser Permanente.
What do CIO’s want from telehealth? Here’s a sample of responses.
