He has several publications and presentations credited to his name on innovative deep learning architectures at prestigious NLP conferences like ACL, and holds over 25 patents in complex digital algorithms. ​

He has developed systems for error correction coding, laser control, and design automation, and chipsets for state of the art magnetic and optical recording. He held leadership roles as VP and Senior Director at leading companies like Cirrus Logic and Marvell Semiconductor. Bill has also managed large international teams to develop technically advanced, and profitable product lines.​
