Issue 115

This week, I focus on AI in healthcare. The announcements about AI-enabled solutions and data-sharing agreements are coming fast and thick. Mayo Clinic is pushing the envelope on accelerating the development of AI-enabled using a “factory” approach. Google announced a new AI app that uses AI-enabled diagnosis of images for skin conditions. Epic and Anthem announced a partnership to pool data and share data to improve administrative processes such as prior authorizations.
Employer-based health care programs continue to see strong interest. JP Morgan’s new healthcare venture, Morgan Health, is setting aside $250 M to promote employer-based healthcare programs.
In my latest podcast episode, I interview Sean Duffy, Co-Founder and CEO of Omada Health, a digital health business managing chronic care for patient populations, using an employer-based approach. Take a listen.
Have a great week.
